David is a Philadelphia-based hospitality and real estate executive with twenty-three years of experience spanning hotels, leisure, fitness and real estate. Inspired by his world travels and passion for fitness, David founded Fitler Club, a private lifestyle club that opened in Philadelphia in 2019. Fitler Club is the first club of its kind to combine world-class entertainment, social, wellness and business offerings under one roof.

David’s career began at Goldman Sachs, where he spent ten years focused on advisory, finance and private equity investment in hotels, gaming and leisure. David then went on to run Morgan Stanley’s hospitality advisory business followed by two years with Lubert Adler Partners overseeing hotel investment and asset management.

In late 2012, David was recruited by Equinox Fitness and the Related Companies to oversee the development of a new luxury lifestyle hotel concept now known as Equinox Hotels. As Related’s Managing Director of Hospitality and the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of the Equinox Hotels venture, David was the key person responsible for all aspects of the development of this new company – from creating the brand vision and writing the business plan, to sourcing and executing agreements for six ground-up hotels, to programming, branding, design and operations.

David graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in economics. He resides in Center City Philadelphia and is an avid triathlete, marathon runner and former collegiate tennis player.

Amanda studied architecture but her nearly twenty year career spans a multitude of design related facets, from interiors, to creative direction and branding, to real estate planning and leasing, to project management and execution. Amanda’s early work in New York included a variety of project types and scales ranging from high end residential projects to institution and corporate work. Amanda’s now deep expertise in wellness and hospitality began with her experience at Equinox, which she joined in 2010 to lead design for all renovations and capital improvements. Amanda transitioned within the company in 2013 to Director of Planning, where she oversaw all feasibility, real estate coordination and leasing, and preliminary design and concepting for all new Equinox Fitness locations. It was there at Equinox where Amanda met David in 2012 and the two began collaborating on design and planning for Equinox Hotels.

In late 2017 Amanda joined David in Philadelphia to lead design and development for Fitler Club, which earned Surface Magazine’s Best Private Members Club in 2019.

After completing Fitler Club, Amanda founded Good City Studio in 2019 with a mission to bring a rare combination of design savvy, development expertise, operational know-how, and project execution to clients in the hospitality industry and beyond. Amanda is passionate about seeking collaborators and clients who like her are focused on making projects with a “net good” societal and cultural impact – and who like to have fun along the way.

Katie is the Studio Director at Good City Studio, overseeing design direction and vision across all projects, including Ballers. Trained as an architect with a Master’s in Urban Planning from UC Berkeley, she brings a unique lens that balances design and strategy with a deep understanding of how spaces influence people and communities.

Katie launched her career at Equinox in New York, where she worked alongside Amanda on space planning and feasibility for new fitness locations, and collaborated with David to shape the spatial identity between Equinox Fitness and Equinox Hotels. She went on to work with notable brands including Ollie and Convene before joining Good City Studio’s founding team in 2021.

At Ballers, Katie leads the design studio, overseeing everything from site feasibility and space planning to interior design and brand implementation. The brand’s flagship venue opened in Philadelphia in September 2025, marking a bold new chapter in experiential placemaking.

Michel DeAscentiis is a creative executive specializing in brand strategy, identity development, and integrated marketing, with 15 years of experience helping brands clarify their positioning and activate across channels with consistency and relevance.

He is currently Creative Director at Good City Studio, focused on brand strategy, identity, and integrated marketing programs that connect business goals to clear creative execution across physical and digital touchpoints. Previously, Michel was Principal at Studio Stipa, consulting with global brands including L’Oréal, Amazon Music, Unilever, and Reece USA, and served as VP of Marketing & Strategy at Direct Message Studio, where he led brand strategy for clients like Netflix, Nickelodeon, and Indeed.

Earlier in his career, Michel held creative leadership roles at Netflix, directing global editorial and marketing for the Kids & Family division; at Paramount Digital Studio, leading digital-first campaigns and partner integrations; and at ATTN:, where he developed social-first branded content for partners including Spotify, Apple Music, Samsung, and HBO. Throughout his career, he has blended brand strategy, creative leadership, and cross-disciplinary execution to help brands grow with clarity and long-term value.

Jen is an architect with over 14 years of experience spanning residential, hospitality, and large-scale mixed-use design. She began her career in New York City in 2009, working across a range of scales from residential renovations and restaurant interiors to high-rise tower coordination. In 2015, she joined Equinox’s planning team under Amanda, overseeing feasibility studies for the brand’s national pipeline of new fitness locations.

Jen later relocated to Denver, Colorado, where she led projects through entitlement and local jurisdictional approval and saw them through to construction completion, sharpening her technical command of construction detailing and reinforcing her belief in building long-lasting, productive relationships while working at OZ Architecture.

In March 2024, Jen rejoined the team bringing deep technical and architectural planning expertise to the firm’s growing portfolio. Outside the studio, she is a certified Pilates instructor, and is always ready with a fun body-mechanics fact.

Daniel is a 30-year hospitality leader based in Philadelphia whose career has taken him to Orlando, Toronto, and Boston.  Daniel has led teams at some of the finest and most innovative hospitality companies in the world including Four Seasons and Walt Disney World Resorts; and has extensive experience operating private members clubs.

Beginning his career in food and beverage operations for standalone restaurants, Daniel transitioned into hotels, first working at the famed Hotel Del Coronado. With roles overseeing fine dining restaurants, banquets & events, and front desk operations, Daniel later expanded on this experience transitioning into catering sales and group sales and marketing.

More recent roles have extended his experience to Conference Center and Private Club Management, with leadership roles at the Chubb Hotel & Conference Center and The ACE Golf Club and he was a part of the opening team at Fitler Club, a private luxury lifestyle club in Philadelphia. As VP of Operations and Sales at Fitler Club Daniel was responsible to lead the clubs Food & Beverage Operations, Member Services, Private Events, Hotel, Membership Sales, Programming, and Fitness & Wellness.  He was instrumental in developing the club’s operating procedures, recruiting for key leadership roles, and developing membership guidelines.

Daniel served as National President for NACE, the National Association of Catering & Events. As a thought leader in the events industry, Daniel has been quoted in several hospitality industry publications, Time Magazine, and CNN.

Daniel joined Good City Studio reteaming with his colleagues from Fitler Club, bringing years of experience leading in the Hospitality community.
